Switching job from DP to EP

nene_nene

I have been working in Singapore for the past 5 years on DP. I have recently received a job offer and the employer is going to apply for EP. I have qualifications from a good university and have also obtained a local qualification pertaining to the job I am doing. Most of the local would not have this job qualification. There is going to be a significant increase in salary from my current job in order to apply for EP. Also, the firm has a good ration of local vs. foreigners. What are my chances of getting an EP?

Please do a self assessment to understand your chances of qualifying for the EP,

The company should outline well why you for the job and must justify well as to why the bump in the salary. Other things like ratio, job posting etc should all be met with to ensure there is fair hiring.

Hi Shekhz,
Thank you for the info. But I will fall under Financial sector . According to the MOM link , it is mentioned " Please note that SAT results will not apply to EP candidates from the Financial Services sector. They must meet higher qualifying salaries"

Shekhz

True, but the minimum salary thresholds are listed publicly, check and ensure you qualify.

Ok sure. Thank you.
