Hello people, I've been living in Taiwan for 17 years. I have a Paiwanese wife and 2 children aged 2 and 4. unfortunately my wife and I are filing for divorce very soon and she is agreeing to grant me full custody of both children. My ARC is a spouse dependent one. The question I have regards my ARC. I have a spouse dependent ARC and need to know how much time am I allowed to remain in the country after signing the divorce paper.

The laws are that you can stay until the youngest one reaches the age of independence which is 20 years old in Taiwan.

Your divorce will not prevent you living in Taiwan. Also after 5 years hear you can become a permanent resident.
