Interruption of my residency

Isaa007

I will make it short:

ive been married for 5 years

5 years living in belgium

I work for 9 months at the airport then I changed my job and now im working for 1 year and a half in another company (this mean I have all the days to required for nationality)

Assistant manager category 2

French courses

integrations courses

But during covid I have an interruption of a year in my residency.

I went to renovate my F card and I got a new one valid until 2029. Meanwhile I did the application of the permanent residency.

They rejected for this interruption of 1 year.

Now I got divorced a month ago.

I still have my F card. I have all the days and requirements for nationality at least. Except for the fact that to complete this 5 years I need 4 more months.

The commune didn't contact me yet. But I can still apply when I complete my 5 years?? Will I be kick out from Belgium?

Im lost.

As you are an F card holder and working you will not be kicked out from the territory.

However for citizenship :

If you are temporarily absent for no more than 6 months, this will not affect the uninterrupted nature of your stay. An absence of more than 6 months will interrupt your legal stay. You will have to start counting again after the interruption to calculate the required period of legal stay.

If ı were you i would contact to commune to see if corona is acceptable reson for being absence.

Good luck
