Family reunification visa

Ade mary

@Tachelle McCarthy

for evidence of relationship, my husband divorced certificate and our marriage certificate was what i gave as proof. Before then, I had to authenticate my documents in my country ministry of foreign affairs and also legalise it at the Belgium embassy

@Tachelle McCarthy basically reunification visa and marriage visa are the same, but in reunification you have to attach your marriage certificate and maybe you need different annexe bis.

GuestPoster347

@Dinzy did you apply 40ter ? How was your entire process please

Ade mary

@Tachelle McCarthy No i didn’t add pictures, chats or invitations because it wasn’t accepted at the TLS centre. They only collected the documents mentioned in the art40 for family reunion

Ade mary

@Tachelle McCarthy  Still waiting though it has been transferred to Belgium for decision

Ade mary

@John Etti you didn’t attached your marriage certificate or what exactly happened

Ade mary

@Dinzy Marriage Visa and Family Reunion visa are not the same

marriage visa requires lots of proofs from chatting to hotel booking,flight, money sent and all. It also includes medical certificate and different annexes which you don’t see with Family Reunion. Marriage visa takes 3/4months to get approved while Famiy Reunion takes 6/9months to get approved. Pls don’t confuse people with it

Dinzy

@Ade mary I saw the documents list it was the same for me haha, sorry. But yeah for marriage we need proof of relationship but not for reunification visa. And we need annex 3bis

Dinzy

@Ade mary I saw few case and also from my country that it was only a week to get approval

GuestPoster347

@Ade mary oh okay thank you have been helpful and you will get your visa approval soon

GuestPoster347

@Ade mary please how can we get my rent registration is it from the landlord or ?

Dinzy

@Tachelle McCarthy that's an agreement or contract between the landlord and tenant. If your spouse own a house it will be a house certificate

John Etti

@Ade mary there was marriage certificate from court of Ghana attached but they said looking at the situation they are of the opinion that there was no marriage   Because we have been dating for over seven months through distance relationship we tried everything to meet but covid restrictions were very effective so she couldn’t travel so that even caused us to be postponing our marriage when she finally had the opportunity to come to Ghana we had already arranged both customary rite and court wedding on that same day she arrived. So was with me in Ghana here for 10 days before she left for Belgium. So they demanded for all our chats since from the day we met. But they still we ahead to say looking at the circumstances around they are of the opinion that there was no marriage. So we should appeal to contest the decision.  That is why I need good immigration lawyer immediately to do that for me thanks you please I have two weeks to do that

Ade mary

@John Etti Did you authenticate and legalise your marriage certificate before submitting it for family reunion?? Secondly, wedding pics, her arrival and departure stamp would have proof more. To appeal is a long process and can take months without still not getting approved. It’s better you just reapply and gather more documents for it. My opinion though

GuestPoster347

@John Etti how many times have you guys met ? What documents did you attach to your paperwork?

GuestPoster347

@John Etti how many times have you guys met ? What documents did you attach to your paperwork?

GuestPoster347

@Dinzy so the rent contract and my rent registration are the same ?

Ade mary

@Tachelle McCarthy  Rental contract is from the landlord,signed and dated while registration is extracted from myrent.be site

GuestPoster347

@John Etti you need to list the documents you submitted, did you go for interview ?

GuestPoster347

@Ade mary oh okay thanks

John Etti

@Tachelle McCarthy  in person for the first time was our marriage day

John Etti

@Ade mary  Okk documents such as what? Cuz I sent our wedding pictures, they demanded for our wassap chat verification letter, almost all the necessary documents so dear per your experience what do you think it should be done or the sort of documents that should be added

John Etti

@Tachelle McCarthy papers I attached are legalized marriage certificate, her passport, my passport, date of birth, 3 month pay-slips, insurance, financial taxes statements, attest, working contract documents, home payment fee, etc

John Etti

@Tachelle McCarthy  no mine was written interview

Ade mary

@John Etti No proof that you guys have met before getting married?? Like plane tickets, Arrival and departure stamp?? The best is to reapply because appealing can take months or years without giving a fruitful result and you will spend quite some money for that as well. In Nigeria, we have Federal marriage Registry for marriage between a foreign and a National of the country. Which makes the wedding certificate recognised and acceptable.

If the immigration is keen on not recognising the marriage, it means you didn’t do your marriage  with the authorities that it will be acceptable and recognised. That’s my opinion though

Ade mary

@John Etti just send all your chats since you guys have been talking

Ade mary

@Tachelle McCarthy papers I attached are legalized marriage certificate, her passport, my passport, date of birth, 3 month pay-slips, insurance, financial taxes statements, attest, working contract documents, home payment fee, etc
-@John Etti

With all these documents you submitted,there shouldn’t be no problem unless there’s a document missing but I think they are not just convinced that’s all. Their country, their rules

GuestPoster347

@John Etti written interview ? Where did you have it ? What was the questions

GuestPoster347

@Ade mary hello ade ,how are you please ,on the topic of my rent ,is it my husband who registers it or is done by the landlord thanks

Ade mary

@Tachelle McCarthy

Good afternoon dear. Your husband is the one to register it on my rent.be site. It’s basically information about the house, his information and upload the contract given by the landlord on the site

GuestPoster347

@Ade mary oh okay thanks
