LACK OF DINNER PARTIES SADLY MISSING IN FINLAND !

I have found over the 22 years of löiving in Finland aS A MOST IF NOT E HOMES NOT SO MUCH AS THIER Castles but a place for isolation where they can shut out the world.In  the UK, weekly dinner parties at friends homes was an event to socialize,drink a little to much,play ghames like scrabble and indulge in good food,whether from the local Deli take-away or for more culinary inclined cooked by the host.
I do not see this taking off in the same way,Finns preferring to eat out and socialize

Umm very interesting post.  I don't think I*ve ever been invited to a dinner party here in Finland and yet i hadn't even realised it until you pointed it out.

I have been on one Dinner party on Monday, first day I have moved here... :D:D But I agree dinner party are great. :)
