The cost of living is rising a bit, but anyone earning on or about 25k would be reasonably comfortable renting outside the city centre.
Inside city centre is a bit more expensive.

Hello,

Galway has a bit fo everything. Is not a big city, but is a really young city. Always full of life. And has this charm that I couldn't find in another Irish cities.

Another city I can recommend is Athlone.聽 Is becoming one important town in the midlands, and is closer to Dublin Airport than Galway (that's a plus聽 )

I found on google this page about how much is the cost of living.
Check it out, Galway page is pretty accurate. I recommend you to search for Galway, Athlone, Waterford, Limerick (never being in Limerick or Waterford so can't speak on how are them). Also you can compare.
