Well, assuming that you'll be living and working in Abu Dhabi; you can manage a life with wife and kid within this amount, but don't expect any good saving! Specially if you're living inside the city..

Hi

lets assume you will need 6000 - 8000 for rent ( inside Abu Dhabi ) , the rest will be good enough for small young family with a wee savings ( depends on your life style), you will face an issue with school fees once your kid reach that age which is still 2-3 years from now .

so the salary is fine but what you need to check if you been offered within the position and industry average which needs more details from your side and a trusted friendly advice.

best of Luck

Hey delphinedel,

The cost of a 1 bed apartment can vary depending on where you choose to live, and this can be dependant on where you are going to work. In the city (on island) a 1 Bed apartment will cost you about 80,000 -105,000 a year, but if you wish to live outside the city, this can drop to 65,000 -90,000 per year.

A few things the note about the real estate market here in Abu Dhabi:
- Most places will require full annual payment up front at the start of contract; some landlords will accept multiple cheques, but it's not the norm
- There is a security deposit required at the start of the contract, 5% or 5,000 AED
-  There is also a leasing fee if you use an agency, 5% or 5,000 AED
- You will require your visa before signing a contract

Things work a little different here and the market changes pretty quickly.

I work for a large Real Estate Agency in Abu Dhabi and if you need any help, you can private message me.

Hope you're looking forward to you moving!

Regards,
Bernard
