family visas (home country - UK)

bloomboy

Hi folks,
I am considering returning to the UK with my family for a few years to make the most of my home countries excellent free education. I am sure some of you have had experience with this, possibly one or two from the UK? How should we prepare? What are the definite 'must do's' that I can deal with here in Sao Paulo, should it all be done here in Brazil or when we arrive in the UK? A few points that I could do with help on — My partner, she doesn't speak good English at all! This has been great for my learning of Portuguese, but could be an issue? We are not married, I don't know if this would make any difference, I am not adverse to it and will happily tie bonds if it makes the situation easier, although would probably prefer to do this in the UK as it is probably easier and cheaper, I am on a 2 year work permit visa if that makes any difference?.. Any advice would be amazing, thanks!

You may need to post on the UK forum.
Many here have done coming to BR and since it was a long process, we have not forgotten BR processes.
If anything like the US process, you may need to marry in the UK to make it somewhat easier.
Give it a try
