What do you think about currently french way of life?

Hail,

I'm French and i would like to know what the others countries currently thinking about France.

I ask this question to the tourists who visited France recently and to the foreigners who are living and working in France.

French are known worldwide for being culturally inward-looking and suffering from a lack of cosmopolitanism and globalisation.
Of course there are exceptions, but the average French traveller I met (abroad) spoke little English, travelled almost solely to ex-French colonies, was aghast that French isn't widely spoken there (any more),  and generally seemed to think of the French as superior to all others, although he/she really had no idea about these others.
Funnily, this applied even stronger to the French-speaking Canadians, but to a lesser extend to  French-speaking Belgians and Swiss.

I completely agree with beppi although I find the people in the south warmer and friendlier than the ones in the north (Paris area).
