Hi All,

Well, the intention of this post is to try and connect words in different languages.
For Example 'Banana' means 'make' in Hindi but in English its a fruit. Like this i believe we can learn few words in other languages and it can be fun too.
So you can post a word from your language and maybe there is someone who thinks that might mean something in their language. Lets see :)

Cheers,
Anoop

P.S : My Word - 'Po'
It means 'Go' in Malayalam,Tamil.

Some words are the same in Indonesian and English and even have the same meaning.
That'l be an effect of colonialism.

Other words have totally different meanings if not always the same spelling.

I didn't eat at the restaurant named, "Bloe Mie".

Joke is a popular girl's name in Belgium. Unfortunately English speaking people tend to pronounce it wrong. You should say "Yoka" and that's not a joke.

Well,i am not talking about words that originated because of colonialism.
Another example : 'El' in Spanish means 'The' but in Malayalam,Tamil(both from India) means 'Bone'.

haha, is there a restaurant really by that name?
