Hello everyone, I am a 26 year old Singaporean that is new to this website and this page. I am planning to relocate permanently to Egypt, hopefully this year if I can get a job there. I tried applying online but to no avail, all was rejected. I speak English and Mandarin and have work experience in Multinational companies. I have a Bachelor degree in Logistics and Supply Chain from RMIT Australia. I hope this page can help me and provide a job opportunity for me. All the advise and help provided will be much appreciated and I thank all of you in advance from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Hi,
American nurse married to an Egyptian man. Moving to Alexandria with the family for a few years. Looking for a western support group to reduce my culture shock.
Hi Donna
It is a very broad question but let me give you some advice.
You need to start looking for housing from now. There are plenty of sites you can search on but start with the options available on °µÍø½ûÇø.com. best options for an ex0at would be compounds which provide security, privacy and most of the time you would find good community of a mox of locals and °µÍø½ûÇøs.
Dont ship furniture as the shipping cost will be high. You can find decent furniture in Cairo which would be a better deal if you plan to stay 3- 4 years ( IKEA and similar shops would be a good start to search)
Start looking for schooling from now if you have kids. You need to apply early enough to ensure a slot in your desired school. There are 100s of international schools in this area whoch makes it easy to find somewhere suitable for your kids
Once you land in here, my advice is to build a circle of friends who speak arabic. They will be of great help to you and can make your landing in the country very easy.
Thats few advices but let me know if you have specific points you want to ask about.

Personally, I stay home most of the time. But, I have children. They like to swim, eat good food, and horse-riding. Those are some of the things we found to be entertaining for them in Cairo. We've been to a few Airbnb's, they were cool. We've also been to Ain Sukhna. Alhamdulillah. Right now I'm trying to find them a good indoor pool, without the bikinis or free-mixing of sexes. Most of my family are females, and we are all Muslims.
I’m Egyptian, and I’m interested to communicate with new friends from different countries
I love to get good reviews, so that I try to present best of the best in the service or products or experiences that I manage and host.
Greetings! It seems that everyone here is very friendly. My wife and I are leaving for Egypt in 3 weeks, we will need guidance on how to make Egypt home. If you have any advice on how to find a home and job

SabaH al-kheir, I'm Jeff, and my wife Meg and I moved to Cairo about 2 months ago. She's here on a Fulbright to research Raqs Sharqi (Belly Dance) and I'm her house husband and research assistant  I also wander around Cairo a lot and take pictures of street cats for our Instagram, @allthecatsincairoÂ
I definitely still have plenty of questions about living as an °µÍø½ûÇø in Egypt that I'll probably ask about on this forum, but there's also a fair amount I've picked up from being here the past couple months and going through the relocation process, so I'm happy to be a resource as well. Additionally, Meg has visited before and has several local friends and acquaintances, and through her studies is very acquainted with the culture and especially the night life, so if any of that is useful to this community we're happy to help.
Shukran!
Hello Jef,
I've read your post
i wish you and your wife have the best experience in Egypt
Best of luck
