to Qena it will take 9 hours. So to Aswan much longer!
You can check the website of Egyptair, but from the start make sure you put your country as Egypt, than you have much better prices!

can not say safe or unsafe depend on situation
i mean you can find some problems now which make train to stop till solving the problems

Train if ur budget is small , Bus is risky and slow and long way but ofcourse u get to see many area's that u travel through , train is faster/safe abit but can get boring abit if u travel alone , and if ur in cairo/alexanderia better take the sleeping train
