Hello Ibrahim.

Welcome to °µÍø½ûÇø! :)

You should post an advert in the Looking for section (Missing people) in the Cairo classifieds. It could help.

Thank you,

hi natasha ,

searching for a person in Egypt will need a governmental steps ..so it can facilitate the search , there is a data base for pepole here , and its for public , only you have to follow the official steps ,  so you have to tell which way you used in your searching

waL-83

hi aureile , i know the classification rule , so am gonna confirm natasha to post the topic there  , to have more help , but just want to informing you by the reason my replying here ,

thx aurile

Geely

Maybe you can contact the Egyptian embassy in London?

Is this you?

waL-83

hi gelly , am with you for this step ,contacting the embassy , to get some information, first of all if he left london or not , and  if he returned back  as there is many probabilities so the embassy will shortcut this step ,

beside this it will infrom. the last accommodation address he registered with it .

but if you notice from the post that there is a time gap between his moving and the recent date so i think the embassy information will be kinda old but sure it will help.

beside this the ( civil registry) in egypt will be helpful as he must apply his updates  in order to travel or moving to a place  or  to register any official papers for accommodations or car license and etc. so it will be helpful as a next step.

in the other hand the father  carry a familiar families Egyptian name ( abo lela ) so a probability to belong to one of this families , and they have a source belonging to a city in Egypt,so the ( civil registry ) will help about this part if he stay in egypt ,depending on the recent information.

natasha ibrahim

thankyou I will try that now.

I did try the Egyptian embassy in London but they then gave me a phone number for the consulate who then gave me a number for someone else who then gave me the number for the Egyptian embassy again.so seem to keep going around in circles.he is however on my birth certificate whether this helps I don't know?do you know what part of cairo his surname comes from then?thanks

Geely

Maybe contact the Red Cross?

In Holland there are tv programs, which will look for missing persons (also abroad), maybe that is the case in England also?

Call the embassy again and persist on speaking with someone who can give you more information, explain that the consulate is not helping. Maybe it is even better to visit the Egyptian embassy with your birth certificate.

Geely

You can try contacting anyone on Facebook with the name Abouelela or Aboulela, maybe they know him? The other names are too common.

waL-83

i tracked the family name , most of them in alexandria  , there were one family moved from (sohag ) to different cities , but the main one is alexandria , then  mansoura .

so its gonna depend on searching in the data base in the ( civil registry ) for this region and of course cairo .

natasha ibrahim

ive just uploaded a picture of him when he was in younger and in London.once it shows up in my pics maybe someone will recognise him.
,any thanks for all you advice everyone and help.x

yiyyr987

do you have any more info except his name ?

natasha ibrahim

no sorry only his name date of birth and how many sisters he had.

yiyyr987

since you know his birthdate , i think there is a
governmental place where you can find some info when you give the name and date of birth , may be useful name of his mother
also

yiyyr987

i think this governmental department is located near cairo
citadel , i am not sure about its name

natasha ibrahim

thankyou geely ive registered with a tv programme her already, but still not 100 per cent if I would get on it..and ive messaged loads of people on fb also with the same names but no reply?think I may keep on to the embassy.

Egypt has an excellent database and could find any person , maybe in half hour, if you have a good reason for trying to find him.
Also, family ties are very strong here, so this could be a good reason that you convince them.
Why don t you come for a short holiday here and to try to talk face to face with president of High Court of Justice?

yiyyr987

i did not find a picture of your father

natasha ibrahim

I have set up a Facebook page called find Nasser abouelela ibrahim ..if your on face book you can search it and see the pic better .thanks

yiyyr987

if you put more details like his birthdate and name of his mother
brothers , sisters , profession
any related areas you know he lived (cairo , alexandria )

yiyyr987

can you tell me what u know exactly about your father after his name, and i am ready to help i belong to a big family in sohag and i can reach to him

waL-83

if in he is in Egypt, contact the (civil registry) , cause in egyptian law he is not a missing person , you have to take this information into account.
he is not actually a missing person , but  a person you want to know his data if he lives in egypt , therefore you use the tradtional ways

The Egyptian

If you have his full name, try (phone directory).

a very good idea , but as she lives in London , wanna add an advice
she may find a no. with  names near to his one , so if she get a remarkable phone no. or address related to her father's family , contact an Egyptian close friend or a relative to have a conversation with the number and  get the required information
