Crazy question and answer portion

Emzkie

The everyday experienced as you move around the heart of the city.

The taxi driver's annoying question about where you come from, or even the market vendors,  or even your caretaker and people you don't  even know at all.

And endless repeated questions you will hear for over a 20 times in just one day as you move along with your daily activities.

Lol.

thats the Egyptian personality they loves to talk and talk and talk no matter what they are saying  :o  but you can say they wants to make relation  but in their own way which is not acceptable sometimes.

Emzkie

It's not just about talking to much! ( need attention). Anyway, I just shared this experienced bcoz I hate this kind of question especially if your riding a taxi. And sometimes the way of asking is impolite...

regit

well, you should expect this stuff in Egypt not all the people is good here.

hey Emzkie..you forgot to mention ...Taxi do ask the following

Where you live ?

Are you married ?

Where do you work ?

Which company do you work ?

and list goes on if you keep answering ..sometimes its ok! but at time I get a little irritated when they start interrogating you

passionatefundo

aha... you have hit the nail.... i have been asked this question 100 times everytime i go to downtown over the weekend.

And then they come to know that i am an Indian then , they say the following words.. "Namestay" , Amitabh Bachen, Sharukh Khan... bla bla bla...

regit

they just thought that it s easy to catch you by those stupid question

Emzkie

Exactly!!!

For me, it was annoying and beside am not riding a taxi or going anywhere to tell this strange people who am I.

Hope they can avoid that mentality if they saw any foreigner and they expecting that they replied same what they thought.

Anyway, this is based on my experienced.

Even worst (and this is often) - You are not married??? Not  boyfriend???  (Moderated: no generalised statement here pls).  Well, we can't forget that under 30 years of dictatorship, gerenal education has been forgotten, and the uneducated people is like 80% of the population. I hope this will change in the future.

Emzkie

It has nothing to do with the education, its about your ( GMRC) means GOOD MANNERS AND RIGHT CONDUCT.

Or it's called ETIQUETTE!!!

There are some well educated people but they don't have manners.

marlo2013

Well, that's true. I remember my mother didn't have formal education, but she certainly had good manners, and she always made sure we had too.

Emzkie

Meaning, you have a good breeding family and well discipline.

The normal person he/she will never ask this crazy question.

He/she will feel shame to himself/herself.

Especially if you don't even know the person at all.
