Private driving license cost about 1000 Le to renew it
And it last about 7 Years
Running cost of car in Egypt depends on cars Engine if it's 1600cc or more

1- License of a car in egypt depends on engine capacity, yr of it and model.. tell me some details to narrow the cost for you as posiible.
2- license for a vehicle in egypt is maximum 3 yrs, not 5.

Thank you,. The make is Geely, 1800cc, about 6 years old. Someone told me the vehicle licence lasts 2 years and will cost over 7000le.
Also to renew an Egyptian driving licence for 5 years cist over 6000le.
Any information you can give me will be appreciated.

I was charged 6000le last year to renew a driving licence for my Egyptian husband, he said it will last 5 years.
Now he days the vehicle licence for a geely, 1800cc, approx 6 years old will cost 7200le for 2 years.
This is a very big difference to the advise you have given me. I am not surprised.

I have tried to find out more as to why this vehicle licence is over 7000.iveread on many web
sites including the British Government that it includes a limited 3rd party insurance. My Egyptian husband has no idea about this and cannot explain the cost. I am confused I've even looked at the Egyptian Government website for an explanation.

Recently charged for a 2 year vehicle licenc on a car 6 years old, 7200!! Took 3 days and visits to various offices.
Last year paid 5000 to renew a driving licence for 5 years.

Hello. Thanks for your reply. Strange that you were charge 7000 egp for two years... usually it is for one or 3 years. Last year, for one year i was charge around 500 egp for the licence car of my typo fiat year 2018 plus 7400 egp of insurance. This year i already paid the insurance which is 6870 egp... just have to go now to the traffic building. Was schock about what you wrote...that's why i asked the price... maybe it included the insurance in your price... i renewed my driver licence last year and i was charged 1500 egp for 10 years... strange that you paied so much and for 5 years... because it is always 10 years.

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately my Egyptian husband tells me all the costs, norecceipts of course and doesn't believe it when I query the cost.聽 He always says the car eedswirk on it and I am paying on average 4000 a month plus petrol.聽 No wonder I want to sell the car!!

Hello Martine, yes I think so too. I asked on the forum last month,one person said the personal driving licence is for 7 years and costs 1000le. Another wanted make, year and engine size which I gave and he didn't come back to me.
I've just looked at the vehicle licence it's definitely for just 2 years.
I've asked to see all the licences.
His excuse is it's different in Mansoura compared to Cairo which is obviously rubbish!!!
The problem I have is trying to find out the correct information about anything in Egypt.
I've registered for the vaccine and not had any news on that either!!
