What is more available in Ethiopia: Diesel or Petrol?

Y61

Hi,
I wonder what car to bring to Ethiopia: A Diesel, Turbo Diesel or a Petrol car. What is more often  available? Can you find both the countryside or is one or the other better?

Also, I wonder if any of you have experiences in how far the height of mostly 2500m+ affects the consumption of cars?

Every input is highly appreciated!

Hi,
I drive a 3.0 turbodiesel Toyota Land Cruiser, 15 Years old,
No Problems with extra consumption according to the altitude.
Diesel usually everywhere available. Sometimes shortage of Benzin at the countryside.
Diesel almost very dirty cars. Benzincars hves less airpollution. This is just an other aspect.

Thanks  Thorsten,

so Petrol/Benzin would be available in Addis all the time?

Has anyone any experiences with regards to increased fuel consumption of Petrol cars due to the altitude?
