I am trying to help a friend who adopted an Ethiopian girl 14 years ago. Her daughter wants to correct her date of birth on her Ethiopian birth certificate. Any ideas?

Need to contact the Ethiopian embassy in the city the person is from. if it is in Canada you can check out the link.

Only this can be done in Ethiopia. It will cost replacement birth doc around 600 to 800 Ethio 20 - 25 USD at municipality聽 where birth doc was issued.

local authorities will need valid reason to changes dob. It not easy to be done.

Does she has any proofs of what her original date of birth is?
