I'm married to a Ghanaian so a resident's permit wasn't a problem but that had a no work clause however think there may be a grey area if the company doesn't have a physical presence in Ghana. People do Web design etc for overseas clients and then there's Airbnb. Not sure how all these types of work are categorised by Immigration.
