Priscilla

Hello everyone!

According to the 2016 UN World Happiness Survey, Denmark, Switzerland and Iceland are the happiest countries on earth.

How about you? Are you happy in Ivory Coast? Do you feel happier today in your host country than before in your home country? What has contributed to the change?

In your opinion, are locals in Ivory Coast happy? How can you tell?

Traveling in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire.

1-Transportation Options in Abidjan

   - Taxis: Taxis are widely available in Abidjan. It’s common for taxis to be unmetered, so it’s recommended to negotiate the fare before starting the trip. Taxis can be hailed on the street or booked in advance via phone or app.

   - Public Buses: Abidjan has an extensive public bus system operated by the company SOTRA. The buses are affordable and cover many areas of the city. However, the routes can be complicated for first-time visitors.

   - Véhicules de Transport Commun (VTC): Ride-hailing services like Uber and Yango are also available in Abidjan, which offer a more convenient option for getting around.

   - Private Cars: If you prefer more comfort, you can rent a car through international agencies or local services. International driving permits are accepted.

2. Documents Needed:

   - Passport: you will need a valid passport for entry into Côte d'Ivoire.

   - Visa: Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter Côte d'Ivoire. Check with the Ivorian embassy or consulate in UAE.

   - Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate: Côte d'Ivoire requires all travelers from countries with risk of yellow fever to show proof of vaccination.

   - Travel Insurance: While not mandatory, travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover any unforeseen medical or travel-related issues.

   - Driver’s License: If you intend to drive, an international driving permit (IDP) is recommended, although you may also use a valid driver’s license from your home country.

OUR LANGUAGE

-The official language in Abidjan is French, and while some people speak English, it’s helpful to learn a few basic French phrases. I Can help.

   - The currency used here is the West African CFA franc (XOF). Make sure to carry some local cash as not all places accept credit cards. Best

Hello dear forum leaders. In fact I have never been to another continent other than Africa. I registered on the platform so that if there are opportunities to go there I can have the different information. Now to come to Ivory Coast, you just need your passport and contact your embassy in Ivory Coast for more information. Best regards
