3rd culture adult

ablackrose

I'm Rose, I consider myself a third culture adult...I know there are third culture kids but presumably those kids grow up into adults and that's more than less me.

I was born here, then lived in Europe a while then came back here then I was recently out in Shanghai for about 8 months studying a bit of Chinese among other things. Now I'm back home more than less rebuilding my life here. Life's a real adventure to me and I'm looking forward to what's coming next.

I just want to wish all °µÍø½ûÇøs a smooth transition, I know it can be very tough. Just look at it this way, almost everyone here speaks English. Trust me, it's tough when all you can really say is "Ting bu dong" (I don't understand in Chinese) but in case the phrase comes in handy, in Swahili you just say...sielewi but better ask someone how to say that if you're not sure.

I wish you all a wonderful adventure while you're in Kenya...whether for a day, a week, a month or years.
