Rights of Foreign Father in Kenya

I have a son there in Kenya who the mother is being difficult to deal with. She right now doesn't even want him to get his US citizenship. Does anyone know what rights as a father and a foreigner I would have in Kenya? In the US, doesn't matter where you from or your legal status I would still have rights as a father here.

I was more curious if any others had a similar experience. I have retain a lawyer but I am just curious if it will go anywhere.
