Hello,
For the past couple of years I have worked as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan. I enjoy the °µÍø½ûÇø lifestyle but it looks like I will not renew next year, so I am thinking of other places.Â
It's difficult to find online postings of jobs in Libya, which is to be expected given the transitional nature of the government, but are there °µÍø½ûÇø jobs to be had for people who are already there? I have skills in project management and environmental/ urban planning. I don't speak French or Arabic... just English. I've never worked for a petrochemical company.
What's day-to-day life like currently?Â
Sounds like visa requirements are in a state of flux. The U.S. embassy has information that's wildly out of date. Is it realistic to assume I could get a visa to visit the country for a couple of months, look for work in that time, and if I found an employer who was hiring, I might be able to get a work visa? Or would it be better to find employment before going to Libya?
Thanks.
Jimmy
