I think there are meetups and social events for British people at the British embassy, such as Book clubs etc. That way you can socialize with woman with similar interests and maybe plan a baby group if a similar option wasn't already available at the embassy.

I used the 'British' embassy as an example because I've heard about it. So I think other embassies have similar facilities, yet I'm not sure so I suggest you check out your home country's embassy because I've heard you can only be a part of these gatherings if you had a a British nationality/Passport for example if you're going to the 'British' embassy. Simple as that.
