"The Family Room is a great place to meet up with friends in a sociable atmosphere for an ice cold beer from our non-alcoholic beer "
Well, if it is real alcohol, the other places better get their liquor license -- LOL -- because everyone will be here and it will be packed.

It won't be real alcohol. It will be real non alcohol.
Can someone visit this place and check to see what the bar will be offering???

Pints of disappointment and shots of morose.
Found out last night no alcohol. Said will be a VIP and with alcohol. But I don't believe the source.

I believe that "smelly" river going into the sea at the spot is included in the price? They have to do something about that if wants somebody to come and not have cold or nose running.
Is it really open? Reservation system allows to make reservations even for tomorrow (single room starting from 420 LD). Anyone already checked it out? Any opinions?

That smelly river is the waste pipe right there. I bet they won't warn their guests not to swim in the ocean right there where all the sewage is going into.
I was told they built it right over the sewage pipe.
You probably can't smell it in Dubai but there is a major sewage discharge into the sea at that point, which you notice every time you drive in that area.
Don't worry. They will probably hide it under yachts in marina:)
no alcohol . It's Illegal in the country and Sheraton is yet to be open. Four Points is ready.
Cheers

four points is an ugly hotel - waste of money time - ugly and useless interior - no service - and bad taste ...

As it's a brand new hotel, it might be of more help to forum users to give a bit more detail of your experiences. Did you stay overnight ? Room quality ? If you only ate there, what was the standard/price/value for money like ?
That'd be alot more help than just a general "it's a bit sh*t" type of comment.
IMHO.

How much to use it or membership ?
@theiman like mudman said any info regarding the membership will be appreciated.

What makes it so?
and when can you sign? when are they actually open? btw, i was at Four Points for lunch yesterday at their restaurant on the first floor called First. it's a buffet set up, and everything was great...not a huge buffet, but i suspect that is due to numbers. NO SMELL that i noticed, although i was there about six weeks ago and they definitely had a problem.
their French inspired Brasserie called Le Cazzerole (sic) opened last night, I'll definitely give it a try. Friendly staff and unlike others, i liked the decor, possibly due to some of the interesting fabrics and floor coverings they've used which should deal with both dust and any mold problems that are often found in oceanfront establishments....i won't give it both thumbs up, yet, but IMO it's one to watch. once their 5 star hotel gets opened, given the location and spectacular view, my guess is the hotel wars will truly begin!
"state of the art" - I mean high end equipment, free weights, cardio machines, and gym machines are all high end spec - for you Torontonians on here - think Wellington or Adelaide Club.
As for fees, can't reveal as they have not issued prices but it won't be 50 LYD a month! Website says April for opening but probably opening Mid-Feb.
They have some fantastic restaurants with killer views.
