Only been in Bamako one week but experienced quite a few good things: Nature-wise: "Les Hauteurs de Lassa" and its lake (take the old Kati road out of Bamako and the hills come up on the left hand side). Beautiful valley up there. Restaurants; Chez Thierry is very nice and a sundowner on hotel Le Mand茅s terrace is a pleasure. But the very best here: The Malian people: in general friendly and helpful.
