Hi All,

In order to convert my SA drivers license to Mauritius drivers license, I need a confirmatiuon letter from RTMC in SA. I submitted all the required documents to ctc@rtmc.co.za on the 11th June 2023 and 3rd August 2023 and have received the same response.

NB: ALL Traffic Register Number (TRN) certificate holders must attach a permit/any document that was used to obtain the Traffic Register Number Certificate. This process now involves external parties to ensure proper investigation of requests. The turnaround time for TRN certificate holders is, thus, 4 – 6 weeks.

Kindly note that we are experiencing high volumes of requests for Driving Licence Confirmation Letters.

We are currently working from 08:00 till 15h00, Monday to Thursday. Our turnaround time is 3 - 4 weeks for RSA ID holders.

We will respond to your email shortly and provide you with the address where the letter must be collected when it is ready.

All applications for confirmation of driving licences (for immigration) must be sent to DLconfirmations@rtmc.co.za for assistance. Please ensure that you complete the form on and attach relevant documents as stated on the application form.
