Watersport

Rob Pace

What is the possibility to start a Watersport business in Mauritius? In the Grand Bay area. Can South Africans invest into this industry? I have comprehensive experience and equipment to start a venture of this kind.

Can anybody advise me on this issue?

Regards.

Hi Rob, welcome to °µÍø½ûÇø :)
Which type of watersports would you like to start? This would help members to give you a better response!

I own a watersport business that operate a high speed boat ( 120 kph ), jetboat for tubing, parasailing and cruising, glassbottom boat, jetski rentals, kayaks and fishing charters and also a special boat for diving and sight seeing charters. This commercial watersport adventure business is in operation since 2005 and i am looking to expand to Mauritius.

Hi there and welcome!

I have been staying in a 2 different resorts  for the last 3 weeks and both hotels offer free glass bottom boat rides,  kayaking , speed boat rides etc for free to all guests. I don't know if others are doing  the same.....

My husband and me are however are keen to take up kitesurfing lessons and have noticed quite a crowd of interested people. We have gathered info on lessons, costs etc from the hotel we are staying and from the beaches were local operators have started chatting to us.

I can only assume the more competion the better the prices! Just my thoughts:)

Hi guys. I sent Rob a private message regarding the water business. I'm an expert in this field and gave him my advice.

Hi prough,
I have the same request as Rob, currently we run a family business called Sun City Waterworld (website: suncitywaterworld.com).

We are very interested in expanding into Mauritius, and would greatly appreciate any info in this regard.
