There are various shops here where you can get the baby products, like Londonway, Kaddyplus, Shoprite, Spar, Game, Meem (baby store) etc ...

Nappies sold here are Pampers, Huggies and some other french brands (don't recall what their called).

Formula milk, there's Nan, Nestle etc (can't recall others).

As for baby food, you can get this at all the shops I've mentioned above. Not sure if they sell organic though.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Hopefully the other ladies can contribute to providing more info on this.

I am reading lots of topics in the forum of mums who feel homesick.. how do you feel? Is it because it is a small island? I can't imagine kids being unhappy being outside all the time and enjoying going to the pool/beach?

Homesick huh.. To be honest I have felt homesick for the few times when my friends have come down from abroad and gone back but that's normal and mostly due to the fact that I'm pregnant and have raging hormones! haha! Reckon its coz' I haven't got the girlfriends here which I had back home. Then again, this all comes with time. Plus, I've only been here for 7 months. After all, this is my 6th country move! I should be used to this by now. hehe.

Think the other mom's may feel like this as it is a small island and there isn't much in terms of shopping malls But in all honesty, every country has its good and bad points. I used to live in Brunei and trust me that country has bugger all, so wouldn't complain about here hehe

As for kids, they just need to socialise and mingle with other kids and yes enjoy the beautiful weather.

In all honesty, the key is to make friends (I know this can be hard) and meet up frequently

How's life in Dubai FeeAcer?

Much hotter, more humid (but not the rainy kind) and muuuuuuuuch more expensive than Mauritus except for now as the Dubai Summer Festival is going on and there is a huuuuuuuuuuuge choice of shops for clothing etc. !
Not yet properly settled and unpacked because we'll be moving in a few weeks time to another Emirate and I'll have much more space than in Dubai (from a small 2-bedroom flat on Dubai Marina to a very nice 3-br townhouse) far from the hustle of Dubai)
