Does anyone know the answer to the following, thanks.

Will a DSTV explorer box bought in South Africa work in Mauritius if I use it with a smart card bought in Mauritius?

Hello, I don't know if it will but I have a boxed Mauritian one about 1 1/2 years old if you still need one (I I switched to Canal+ and didn't use the DSTV for long). Send me a private message if so. Regards.

Hi. I asked the same question聽 on the South African DSTV forum and the answer was probably not.

It seems that you can get an Explora in South Africa for R1500.聽 An Explora box in Mauritius is 11000Rs which converts to approx R4600.
