Hi,

To make it simple...

An 'Occupation Permit' combines both the Resident and Work Permit. It allows you to live and work in Mauritius under different schemes for a period of 3 years (renewable).
It is delivered by the Board of Investment which falls under the Office of the Prime Minister of Mauritius.

A 'Permanent Resident Permit' may be granted to the holder of an Occupation Permit if he/she meets a series of strict criteria. It allows a non-citizen to live and work in Mauritius for a period of 10 years.

A 'Work Permit' is delivered by the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Relations. Conditions and the terms of the contract are not fixed but generally decided by the Ministry.
If the Work Permit is for a long term employment in Mauritius...some restrictions are sometimes imposed e.g the holder may not apply for Mauritian citizenship or he/she may not get married during the duration of the contract.

I am a teacher and will like to move to Mauritius. I need help on how to secure a teaching job in Mauritius. I hold a diploma in education and also a bachelor of education. Any help

You don't say which subjects you normally teach or if you speak French. Talking to other teachers here, it is not that easy to find something unless you look at the private schools and then you need to have something special to offer. For the French schools you will normally need to speak/write good English and French.
