As for the job, I didn't have your problem as I speak fluent French but I know a girl who was in your situation... And she did find a job! I can put you in touch with her. To be honest, there are very few choices. I can only think of one - teaching English. It's very well paid in Mayotte and although the job is tough and tiring, it offers a good life-work balance. If you are interested, I can give you more information.

Hello! My husband and I are planning on relocating to Mayotte. We are both English speakers. We are beginning to learn French, but most of our language learning is going to occur once we move to Mayotte. We are looking for any job we can get as English speakers.
