I live in turkey, antalya and I am going to participate in a student exchange program this summer in Rabat. I am a medicine student and the program is about a Cardiology research but what is the fun of being in another country if you are only concerned by your work I play the guitar and ukulele and I have lots of other hobbies that I am moderately good but not great at I'd love to socialize beforehand and learn all the good places to visit, have a drink, eat etc.

Hope you are getting used to life in Morocco especially Casablanca.
I strongly recommend that you try visit British or American council in casablanca. It's the best way for you to find English speaking community  quickly and you can so that you can do there, educational  activities, volunteering etc.
If you don't know the city well and can't get there easily try to get in touch with them on their Facebook page.

Hello! My name is Reynell. I Just came to Morocco last Friday from Ghana . It's been a very great experience here contrary to what I had imagined. The Moroccans I've met so far are very hospitable and kind . They are ever ready to help you no matter what. I came all alone for the very first in Morocco and it already seem as though I've been here for three months. I will be schooling in Rabat . And yeah I live there as well. The only problem may have have to do with Communication. I speak English and have difficulty in speaking French . I don't know Arabic either - only "salaam" and "shokran ". So it's kinda weird trying to move around the city.
Perhaps I may get friends here who would help.
