Are you travelling from the U.S. to Morocco?

Leijona

Hello travellers and °µÍø½ûÇøs!

I'm not sure if I can find someone, but I'm sure lots of travellers have this issue.
Well, I'm working remotely from Marrakech for a company in the U.S. and having difficulties shipping some items to my destination.
I am looking for someone who his travelling from the U.S. (preferably Texas) to Morocco (preferably Marrakech) to transport a small package for me.
The online service Piggybee would have solved out this problem, but not trips were found because of the restrictions. The last time I shopped from the U.S. took about 2 months delivery time!
I also bought few books from the UK, and they never arrived.

Thanks so much for any assistance! Please, send me a pm if you can.

Hello again everyone! I am surprised no one reacts even though this is a forum for travelers. Maybe I should explain more; the product is a laptop, and I am willing to pay if you prefer so. Thank you!

Hey, you should maybe try to post it in different topics, I just traveled from NY to Casablanca, it's gonna be a hustle to find someone, good luck.

Hi, its very difficult to find a trusted person to send something with. Also for the other person to trust what's in the parcel also can be difficult. There are sites that offer such a service but with Covid restriction everything has changed. You can reach out to DHL as i usually buy from Amazon USA and ship via DHL to Marrakech takes around 5-7 days depending on clearance time. I usally pay the customs charges in advance and then Amazon refund the difference if the charges are less.

Sending via regular USPS can be cheaper but again takes around 2 months.

UPS and fedex are the same as DHL fast service but costly I guess.

Hey! Thank you for your comment. Indeed, it would be a hustle! If only I knew earlier you were travelling to Morocco. Alas!
I'll see if I can post elsewhere. The probelm is not finding travellers, but those who are willing to help. Thanks anyways. Regards

Hello! Thank you for your comment and insights. Well, it's not about finding a trusted person, but the fact if they are willing to help. Of course I stated the parcel would be a laptop, and it would be shipped straight to their address. They can open it of course.
DHL and alike services would cost me a fortune. For a $400 laptop, Amazon would charge about $600 between shipping and import fees. And then Morrocan customs would need their piece if the pie too, which isn't either finite or regulated.

I'm curious to know what do you mean by "Amazon refund the difference if the charges are less."?

What Iv noticed with Amazon when buying they charge a fixed Defoe customs charges if you spot this on the invoice.

As these fees are fixed and quite high. But usually after several weeks after the items been delivered if they customs charges were less Amazon issue a refund on the difference

A lot of items that I had brought recently Amazon notified me that they will issue a refund on the difference as the custom charges turned out to be much cheaper than they expected.

Hello everyone! I have a question, I’m from Morocco and I am currently married to my British husband, and I would like to join and live with him in Uk, but the matter is that my husband was married to a Moroccan woman before and they divorce after he get her to England due to some problems,  does anyone know how difficult it will be for me to get a visa to go to The uk to live with my husband because He got a visa for his x wife and we don't know how hard it will be to apply for another one, is there a big chance that they will refuse the visa for me?

Hi as long as he can show he is divorced for the first wife- and complies with the Visa requirements then its perfectly fine, to apply. If he has followed the visa rules then it won't get refused. Just have to show he is devoiced and married to you.
