Hi all,

What do you think about the means of transportation in Essaouira ?

Is the network of means of transportation well developed?
What modes of transport are available?

Do you use them?

How much is a fare?

Are they relatively safe?

What is the mean of transportation you use the most in Essaouira?

Hello,
Essaouira offers reliable,cheap petit(more NEW taxis now) and grand taxis,plus regular buses to rural areas and beaches e.g Sidi Kaouki.Supratours link to Marrakech,and a wealth of buses service Morocco.The new Essaouira-Marrakech road journey takes 2.5 hours,using the motorway is less. Car hire is from 300dh per day and my favourite- scooter hire 600dh for 3 days.Horse and carts are even cheaper,and add a new dimension to public transportation.We have just launched the el Ghazoua horse and cart project,creating jobs and local transport in rural areas.However I must mention that lifts are often offered from the friendly locals and european residents.Thank you!

I go to essouira in the end of october, looking for a nice driver....at first from the airport to essouira, but to a few roadtrips as well, marrakesch and so on....do you know anyone
