Advice regarding life partner permit

hi,
i am desperately trying to get some advice regarding life partner permits.
i have the following question and i must point out that i know nothing about these visas, trying to do some research into a situation.

What are the legal implications of continuing this permit after you and your partner have separated?
(not for the foreigner , for the South African citizen)

I don't know who can answer this question for me..home affairs ?

Hi there,

The SA citizen won't be affected, but the foreign partner will not be able to renew the life partner permit when it expires (unless the ex partner lies for them that they still live together and present themselves to VFS on the day of application etc)
