Studying at University of Cape Town

picayune13

Hi!
I am an American undergraduate student, and I am really interested in attending the University of Cape Town for graduate studies in Political Science. (I am really interested in African politics and history, so the program is really excellent for me!)
Any advice about living, working and studying in Cape Town? Where to live? Student life?

Thank you!

Hey, are you still looking for a place to stay in CPT?

hey, if you will be studying at UCT there are so many places you can live. the closest would be clairmont, a really nice area and mostly english. you can also live in the city self(gardens, tamboerskloof, vredehoek) and just get the Jammie shuttle from the art campus that is in the city centre. UCT has a really good shuttle service for their students(the only university with a shuttle service in CPT) I have many friends who lives in town and take the shuttle. If you have a car though, UCT is faily close and central to all the nice areas to live in!
