Hi,

I am a geologist and being invited to work in Kabul. I will be spending say 50.00% of my work in the field looking for mineral deposits. I would be glad if you can share me your experience and security situation.

My main concern for you is traveling around Afghanistan.聽 There are areas you should not go.聽 The biggest concern would be kidnapping.聽 Second being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Make sure you find a place to live in a secure safe part of whatever city you will stay in.聽 Also get connected with the other foreign organizations to compare security alerts and warnings as well as proper protocols.
