milliem

Hi everyone....I'm new to the site....just wondering if anyone can give me some info on buying a restaurant in Phnom Penh. I've seen a few advertised most seem very cheap for what they. The area I'm looking at is near the Russian Market....I'm not sure whether the river area would be a  better place .......can anyone offer advice.......Thanks, Carol

Hello Carol, well actually we have a restaurant in Phnom Penh which is for sale!
It's near the riverside in 102 street, the post office and wat phnom and night market. An upcoming location in my view and with still affordable rents. Email me at rdh@studio-ii.nl and I can give you more details if you are interested.
I would say the trick is for running a restauant is to find reliable people. From the landlord, who doesn't start claiming more money ones the contract is signed or doubles the rent ones it's finished till the people who work for you. My partner is Cambodian and I have to say that makes a big difference in getting things done. Regards, Remco
