Getting cabs in Beijin

i am African and have to walk most of the routes that do not have buses or subway,usually short and can use taxi but it is soooo hard for me to get one.they wil stop for the chinese or white that is past me but not for me.Why is that!

It is called racism and stereotyping.

The best practical solution is to get a taxi from the nearest hotel.

i guess you don't speak chinese and may be the distance to short that y they decline you, i had the same experience decline by taxi driver 'coz i can't speak chinese :-))

dude i look chinese and i speak good chinese and they still wont stop for me a lot of the time, especially when they're changing their shifts. Unless you're going the same direction as them, then they'll take you. There's nothing racist going on....
