Do You Like Beijing??? How long have you been in Beijing???

Gullekian

There are a lot of °µÍø½ûÇøriates here in Beijing, some estimate it over 100,000 from various countries,

- How do you like it in Beijing?
- How long have you been in Beijing,
- Are you here for a short period or a long period of time?
- What is it that you miss the most from your hometown?
- What do you do in Beijing??

I am a Canadian citizen, born in Lebanon, Armenian origin, and I have been in Beijing for over 15 years.... but unfortunately I don't speak Chinese hehehe, I guess my dog (Milou) understands better Chinese than me, because our Ayii speaks to him in Chinese, hehehe...

My wife is Chinese, we've been together for almost 15 years now.

I've done many imports here in China, but for the last 7 years I've been importing Canadian baseboard heaters to China, and during the last 2 years I imported pet vitamins from Canada but it didn't do well because the prices were expensive.

The most I miss is the clean air in Montreal, easy driving, and logging to facebook, twitter, youtube etc... without being blocked all the times...

What I don't like in Beijing, is the pollution, the traffic jams, (24/7) people spitting on the streets in front of you, and car drivers who don't respect the pedestrians.... especially when it's green to pedestrians and it's red to the drivers who are making a right turn...

Besides I like the people, they're very nice people.

hi, I've been in China for a year and a half. Its very dofferent from life in the US/Canada, but you get used to it! Its a bonus for you too, because you have someone who can speak Chinese well.

Thanks,
you're right, life here is a lot different than Canada or US. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever live long enough to see the Chinese being able to live the life as in over there....

Where do you live now, in China or else??
