Life in Chengdu

PengyouinCD

I will be moving to Chengdu around 7/31/2020 and would like to find a way to get connected.  Can anyone suggest any forums for °µÍø½ûÇøs living in Chengdu?  I am interested in rules and laws about ebikes in Chengdu as well as markets to buy one; wholesale markets in Chengdu, especially for food.  Once I have wheels and food, I should be OK :)

We were just in Chengdu and looked at the ebikes.  For a pretty big one that goes about 70km they were asking 2500.  :)  We should be moving to Chengdu soon too so maybe we can connect :)

Thanks!  Yes, I am familiar with the general equipment and prices.  What I am concerned about - seems that all of the major cities in China are adding restrictions to buy and riding ebikes.  Beijing, for example, will not license an ebike unless it has pedals.  If it doesn't have pedals, it is considered an electric motorcycle and the rider needs to get a kind of motorcycle license.  In Beijing, if you own even a small ebike that doesn't have pedals, they will take it off the road in less than 2 years - you may not plan on being in Chengdu for much longer, but it means that it will be impossible to sell when you leave.
