Which visa/permit for self-employed in India?

Hello,

I already lived 4 years in India with first an employment visa and then a tourist visa.

I came back to France 1 and a half year to graduate myself as a decorative painter, and would like now to come back to India, where i wish and dream to settle.

I applied yesterday for a business visa, thinking it is appropriate for a self-employed like me (as my former employment visa was to work for an indian company)

But i realised business visa also ask me for employer letters from India and France compagnies...

As a self-employer i do not have those letters

What is the solution for my situation?

Is there a visa or a stay permit that fit for a self-employer?

I am really confused

I have acquaintances who got business visa as self-employed from what i understood..

I would really appreciate your help and enlightment on this matter
