Lucy or Shy?

sarah_choy

I went to SHY rooftop and it was great so I would like to check out a place with similar concept I've heard of, Lucy in the sky. Is it a great hangout? :)

Lucy in the Sky sounds expensive.  What with the diamonds and all.

No diamnonds I'm sure, just booze and hopefully single men. LOL!

Don't forget the plasticine porters with looking glass ties.

I hope to see some of you there tomorrow if you happen to drop by anyways. Just come over and say 'filmmaker?'.

As a little aside note.
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was code for LSD.
That's the Beatles for you.

John Lennon completely disagrees with you, but what does he know.  He only wrote the thing.

LSD pops up again in their song, Pounds, shillings and pence (LSD)
That and Lennon was commonly stoned on the stuff.

However, my opinion isn't really worth 2 farthings, and is of little matter anyway but, as I'm a helpful chap, I thought I'd edit the post to explain how LSD relates to pounds, shillings and Pence.
L - The Pound was commonly denoted this way in text
S - Shilling
D - pence (from "denarius")

I know some old rubbish, but that's because I used to pay for things in bobs and tanners.

That's some nice trivia, but where in the song are the words "pounds, shillings and pence"?

Say whatever you want about British money, you're never going to beat Canada's loonies and toonies.
