Cost of living in Indonesia

Hi everybody,
It would be very useful to talk about the cost of living in Indonesia.
Don't forget to mention where in Indonesia you are living.
How much does it cost to live in Indonesia?
> accommodation prices
> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc ...)
> food prices(per month, how much does it cost you?)
> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)
> eduction prices (if you need to pay)
> energy prices (oil, electricity)
> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)
> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant
> prices of a beer and or a coffee in a regular pub
> price of the cinema
Do not hesitate to add items to this list!
Thanks in advance for your participation!!
> accommodation prices
it depends, as in all the country, from where you are and what you need.
In Bali you can spend from 20.000 IDR/night for a double room in a simple and no so clean hotel or 80.000 IRD fro a double room in a very nice and clean hotel in Ubud, until hundred and hundred of USD to sleep in 4 seasons or Bulgari Hotel...
In some area of Java you're lucky if you can find an hotel... and you spend normally between 50 and 100.000 IDR
> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc ...)
Tube there is not in Indonesia...
Bus are different kind/quality/price but the drivers are totally crazy!
In my opinion is better to avois that the bus...
Airplane, boat and train are also dangerous...
> food prices(per month, how much does it cost you?)
eating mostly at home and trying to eat italian it cost around 40.000 IDR/Day, but if you eat indonesian meal all the time you can spend 10.000 or less.
> energy prices (oil, electricity)
petrol is 5.000 IDR/LT that now means 0,35 Euro/Liter
> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant
10.000 to 30.000 IDR
> prices of a beer and or a coffee in a regular pub
beer is around 9.000 to 12.000
ciao!

ciao!
I am not familiar with Indo. Upon seeing this, I calculated the currency conversion of USD to Indonesian Rupiah. I was told 1USD=9935IDR.
Is this true? I find it impossible. If a hotel is 100IDR...that would mean a night's stay is $0.01/USD!!!
Something is amiss here. Please help me out.
This is what I found on cost of living in 2008. This sounds about right to me. Any feedback from those with experience please DO reply!

I think you's drink prices are a bit on the low side.
In the clubs you're looking at 100,000 for a drink at the weekend (spirits). You can get a bottle of vodka and 6 cans of red bull for about Rp1.4m (red square) but if you go to BATS this can cost over Rp2m.
Also wine will cost around 300-400k for a bottle (takeaway) This is my field of expertise as it's what I spend my money on each month...
Jakarta Selatan - so far experienced as below.
Nasi goreng - costs around RP 20,000 per plate
Ocha - RP 5,000 per cup
Nasi campur (1 vege, 1 meat, 1 tofu) - RP 20,000 to 25,000 per set
Living cost is definitely not low!
It depend of how do you want to live there.
In Indonesia the life can be chip or expensive.
If you want to live like indonesia people, chip, if want to live like occidental people, expensive, very expensive.
Milk, jam, bred, beer, cocktail, fruit (like appel, orange, pear etc), meat quite good, chiken, wine, fish, and more food, are expensive in Indonesia.
