People with health certificates and some people with official letters are being allowed though. This will likely be applied to °µÍø½ûÇøs as it is locals.

Except for exapt coming with Evisa, they are allowed to reach their final destination in Indonesia after the 5 days quarantine.

Indonesia has been somewhat lucky so far re covid  imho , they should have been harder on travel ban around mudik ,  I would imagine there will be a big increase in cases  after and viral mutations .lets hope we dont have india mark 2 .

I knew the shopping centres would be dead today so I grabbed the opportunity to visit my favourite J.Co. for a coffee. I've missed that place.
Looks likje everyone was doing the rounds of friends and family so the roads were empty.
Tomorrow is likely to be a different story so it's back to Alfamart and Indomaret for my shopping.

It seems the great return to Jakarta is underway and police are keeping an eye on what's what. Some reports say people with positive roadside covid tests are being sent back to their home towns to isolate, others being tested negative and sent on their way.

The next bit is 'wait and see' as we have little idea what the travelling public have done, and won't until we see if there is a spike in cases over the next week or two.

I suppose the biggest thing for most will be if schools have to stay closed because of this.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Residents of Jakarta returning home after celebrating the Eid al-Fitr festivity in their hometowns outside the capital city must possess COVID-19-free certificates, according to the Jakarta police.

"Jakarta’s residents must show the results of rapid COVID-19 antigen tests that they have undergone in their hometowns," Jakarta Police spokesman Sen. Com. Yusri Yunus stated.

Police officers will start checking the COVID-19-free certificates of travelers heading to Jakarta on Sunday, Yunus noted in a statement that ANTARA quoted here, Saturday.

As anyone with half a brain would know, covid infections will rise if a lot of people travel about and mix.

Post mudik (homecoming), covid infections rose because a lot of people travelled about and mixed without follow health rules.

The Delta (Indian) variant made things worse.

Not sure how what this mass idiocy will do to school reopening and other plans, but it won't help as cases are on the rise in many areas and red zones are a plenty.

You are right, pandemia is not over and will probably last for quite a long time.
Travelling, dining, meeting friends, etc... is fine until people are careful (considering and addressing risks); not only in 1 country or with 1 religion, but worldwide. 
The more careful people will be, the faster we will get it behind us and enjoy life again.
