We have just moved to Fukuoka, and the living costs seem much cheaper than Tokyo.

How much do you pay for your internet and phone subscription? 
We are moving to a new house next month and will be paying 4800 yen for internet per month. We however will have to buy our own router. For phone subscription, in Japan, you are not able to buy a PAYG sim card. So we registered with Y mobile which gave us a 1 year contract. For my susbcription, It will be free for 1 month, 300 yen for 2nd month and 1650 from the 3rd month onwands until the one year contract ends. The package is 3GB, and you are only charged a few yens to call and sms. You however have to take back the sim card after the year ends or when you no longer want to use the sim. After the year contract, you can continue using the mobile service but with no penalty if you want to quit it.

-I live with my wife's owned detached house, yearly village tax is 12,000jpy, quarterly paid.

How much do you pay on average for public transportation (bus, subway, train, tram, taxi)?
I don't take public transportation.
Yearly expenses for each vehicles are Weight and Automobile Tax, Insurance, Inspection(Shaken), Gasoline and Basic Maintenance.

- Daily should be around 340 yen (170 yen one way) in total, for around 44 mins ride (22 mins one way)

- I get around 5 kilos of rice monthly, for 800~1200 yen per purchase.

- I'll be honest, I am not sure because I sometimes get lazy and eat outside. However, I would like to say it is around 20,000 yen?

- In total its around 10,000 yen. For me I use a lot of the heater during winter, so that may contribute a lot to the total cost, not to mention the time spent on my pc too. I am sure many people are paying less monthly.

- 10,000 yen for internet and phone, it comes in a set. I game online a lot, so this price is to get blazingly fast internet.

- 500~1000 yen.

- I am not sure what constitutes as an espresso, but you can pay 100 yen for a cheap coffee at the convenience store.

How much do you pay for a cinema ticket?
- This is kinda bs for me, its 1800 yen per ticket! Watching movies are expensive over here for some reason.

How much does a gym membership cost in Japan?
- I pay 6000 yen per month, for a 24-hour, multiple location gym Joyfit. No pools or sauna, like those fancy gyms, but the equipment is enough if you're just into bodybuilding.
