Good luck. When I moved from Minnesota I just brought one bag. Shipping a single box here that weighs about 40 pounds costs about 200 dollars. Shipping it back is 400 dollars a box. Bring nothing and leave with nothing. Also, you can't leave here with diskettes and anything you box up has to be checked thoroughly by the shipper. That makes the costs huge. I honestly wouldn't recommend living in Kazakhstan unless you can go without a lot of things you have been used to in life like books and regular foodstuffs. If you have sort of the backpacker mentality, then no problem.
