Raising kids in Laos

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

How is raising kids in Laos different from raising kids in your home country?

What are the activities that your kids seem to enjoy the most in Laos?

Do you feel that the country is "family-friendly"?

Do you recommend Laos as a good place to raise kids? Why or why not?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

The Maori and Islander population in New Zealand have a similar sense of family that can be found in Laos. Family has a greater significance in Laos when compared to the Europeans in NZ.
Lao children are well taken care of within the family environment.  Because of this I would say that Laos is family friendly.
My children never seem to be glued to the TV set, preferring to play outside after school.
I would recommend Laos as a good place to raise kids in as long as parents are prepared to accept the Lao way of doing things.

Laos is certainly family friendly Finding a good school is hard. It is even harder now that Kiettisack has imploded and can no longer be recommended.
