Hello! I have been in Malaysia for 4 years and I have been Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Sabah. My personal advise is you can spent around 2-3 days in Kuala Lumpur and 7-8 days in Sabah. Sabah is such a beautiful stage. If you be there a week, you able to visit whole the beautiful places and I think that is a good place for honeymoon. Be honestly, if you like beach, island and nature, you should go to Sabah. I'm sure you will love Sabah :D Anyways, i spent in Sabah for 4 days and after that i did 2 video on youtube about Sabah, you can check it out and decide will you want to go?(Link in the below)  If you need any advise, don't hesitate to ask me..I'm willing to help if you want! :) Hope you will have a nice trips!

Start from Kuala Lumpur ( don't spend more then 3-4 days)
Langkawi ( if you like sandy beech / nature / calmness )
Penanag ( if you like old British style architecture / different foods )
Cameron Highland  ( if you like high mountains , i know you yourself have many such places but still try ,its different )
East Cost ( Teranganue beeches )
Malaka   ( if you like historical palces )
Sabah    ( again beautiful beseeches )

Hi congrats on marriage!

You dont say what you want really. If city sight seeing ten days isnt long and KL isnt very interesting as a tourist destination. Penang and Langkawi would make a nice trip. Sabah is effectively another country.

As a westerner honeymoons to me brings up images of lazing on a beach and lots of romance. Sitting in planes trains and automobiles for half of ten days??? Do consider that. Of course culturally different concepts of a honeymoon exist yours maybe of travel but even so surely you need relaxation time?
