No way stay away what a rip off joke salary. Also below the legal minimum for an employment pass.

A friend got 7,000 RM at 23 with 1 year experience (she is Asian) and that is about right. She has a flat share, no car, doesn't drink and saves very little.

My old cleaner earnt 3000 RM and she didn't even finish school.

Look at the forum you will see many posts about salaries.

Agree with nemodot. Not worth it.

adawiyah90

hai.. if im not mistaken, the minimum salary for company in Malaysia to employ staff from the other country is around RM 5000

There is a new pass called Professional Pass III where lower salary and no dependents (and of course foreign worker status is also possible)

No doubt brought in after lobbying  by tight arsed rip off employees.

If you earn less than 10k and are over 26 you are not a professional IMHO. The talent corp 12k min should be the minimum unless an intern / trainee. That should be done to protect young Malaysians

vimobe

hired a fresh grad from thai and iran with salary of RM2.5-3K.
not a problem as long as company eligible to obtain professional foreign worker.
In my case the company i work with is a MSC status company

I pity your employees! But there was a change recently allowing 2,500 rm minimum so cheapskate employees could hire cheap labour. A retrograde step as at least the 5k min protected the innocent.

This puts young Malaysians out of jobs. A bad idea.

vimobe

well, company also hired malaysians for sure.. quota need to be fulfilled..
cheapskate or not that is the std salary for fresh grad.

aastropg

Why so less salary?
Are you a fresh grad?
